Beverly Shannon moved the hand-painted wine glasses a little to the left of the etched glass salt and pepper shakers that sat behind the white artichoke candle.
Her new shop, Gifts of Mine, didn't even have its new sign in place when Susan Hawkins, a resident of Chesapeake Beach, walked in.
``I was coming in for ice cream,'' she said. ``But, I guess I'll just look around.''
For the last three years Shannon scooped Hershey's ice cream into milkshakes, sundaes and cones for the treat-seeking crowds that came to her shop, tucked away in Thoroughgood Centerand known then as Coffee-N-Cream. Summer ...
