Facilitating travel
I have noticed a number of letters to the editor in The Chesapeake Clipper recommending removing the extension of Volvo Parkway from the master road plan. I can understand why the residents of Plantation Lakes might support such a decision.
As growth continues, we are struggling to maintain an adequate transportation network. Kempsville Road is being converted from a wagon road of the last century to a transportation artery for the next century. Extending Volvo Parkway to Lynnhaven Parkway would further improve transportation in the Kempsville-Greenbrier area.
