How to draw more tourists and convention-goers to Hampton Roads?
The Hampton Roads Partnership - a civic leadership group formed to speed regional cooperation - argues persuasively in its recently released strategic plan that to bring in more visitors, the region must:
Enhance existing tourist attractions, events and amenities for visitors, and acquire an additional distinctive tourist attraction, perhaps a major-league sports team or a convention center capable of accommodating large conventions.
Aggressively market Hampton Roads as a desirable destination for vacationers, convention-goers, sight-seers.
