Leave it to Boogie Bob, a musician with a sense of adventure and humor, to perform a cover version of the dreaded classic-rock song ``Free Bird'' without playing a single squeaming guitar lick.
The innovative guitarist/singer/keyboardist loves to juggle genres. On his reworking of the Southern rock anthem, he handles Lynyrd Skynyrd's music with an engaging and witty mix of blues, country and rock.
``People are not tired of the song,'' says Bob, who divides his time between Florida and the Outer Banks. ``But they're tired of the way it's done.''
