NORFOLK -- After winning five of their last six, the Hampton Roads Admirals probably were due for a bad game. And did they ever deliver.
The Admirals were outshot, outhustled and outplayed by the lowly Chesapeake (Md.) IceBreakers and lost 4-1 before a crowd of 5,954 on Saturday night at Scope.
Chesapeake (14-14-4), which is fourth in the Northeast Division, had beaten division leader Hampton Roads (20-8-3) in regulation only once in 12 previous games and had never won in regulation in Scope.
If the Admirals were looking for excuses, there were plenty.
