VIRGINIA BEACH -- What does it mean to be someone's business partner? That became a key question Tuesday in the second day of a trial between concert promoter A. William Reid and his former employer, John J. ``Jack'' Boyle.
The two are disputing ownership of the company that runs the 3-year-old GTE Virginia Beach Amphitheater, which both helped build.
In five hours of testimony, Reid said he was Boyle's business partner because they shared equally in the profits of Cellar Door Productions of Virginia. Because Boyle ``called us partners'' and, Reid said, because the two men had a deal to split the profits and ...
