NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The Hampton Roads Admirals lost to the South Carolina Stingrays 3-1 on Friday night - and lost a chance to move up in the Northeast Division.

South Carolina got an empty-net goal from Chris Hynnes with 17 seconds left to clinch the victory over the Admirals (28-17-6), who would have moved past idle Richmond and into third place had they won.
