NORFOLK -- The Virginia Chorale presented a thought-provoking program Friday evening at the Chrysler Museum Theater. Connections were made between music and the visual arts, specifically the works of M.C. Escher, the subject of the museum's current special exhibit.
The interpretation of these connections will vary greatly from person to person. But the whole question of related aesthetic experiences is well worth exploring. If visual concepts aid the understanding of the music, so much the better.
