Rather, Clay Jenkinson did.
What a task it can be to keep them apart.
When Jenkinson's deep Midwestern voice comes through the phone, you fancy for a moment that you are talking with Jefferson.
It happens all the time, says Jenkinson, who is the voice of Jefferson on public radio every week.
Listeners have become so familiar with Jenkinson's portrayal that he worries they sometimes forget this is Thomas Jefferson talking, not Clay Jenkinson.
