University of Virginia running back Antwoine Womack, who was indicted on a felony count of malicious conduct on Monday, is being allowed to remain on the football team and participate in spring practice, according to a university spokesman.
Michael Colley, of the Sports Information Office, said Womack had been practicing with the team and he did not know of any change.
When asked to comment on Womack's indictment, Colley said a policy statement issued by senior associate athletic director Craig Littlepage on Feb. 12 remained in effect.
