As captain of the 55-foot topsail schooner Downeast Rover, Bradford Gunn sails the Bahama Islands' beautiful bays in winter and Roanoke Island's sparkling sounds in summer. From May to October, Gunn, 51, offers three two-hour cruises a day from his vessel with red sails berthed in Manteo across from the Elizabeth II in Shallowbag Bay. In the late fall, Gunn sets sail for the Abaco Islands in the Bahamas, where he takes customers on weeklong crewed charters around the islands.
The Rover is also available for summer charters out of Manteo, Gunn said. And it is suited for almost any kind of gathering - birthday parties, ...
