Your Saturday editorial, ``McCabe and Mr. Wright: A wardlike arrangement,'' is harsh criticism of my part-time position with the Norfolk Sheriff's Office. Especially considering that both Sheriff McCabe and I made sure to first clear it with both the city attorney and commonwealth's attorney. Nonetheless, it raises the appearance of impropriety that I wish to immediately dispel.
I have, therefore, returned to Sheriff McCabe my one, unclaimed, paycheck and have instructed him to remove my name from his payroll eliminating any future compensation.
However, as a public servant who strongly believes in the TRIAD Senior Citizen Program, I intend to remain as ...
