NORFOLK RECENTLY made it to the No. 4 slot on a national ``Top 10.'' But it wasn't a list homeowners, real estate agents or mortgage lenders will be clipping for their scrapbooks.
It was the Orkin Termite Top 10, a dubious distinction announced earlier this spring. Only three other cities in the continental United States had more termite problems than Norfolk, based on sales from the previous year.
The list is part of an annual survey done by the 98-year-old company.
But an aggressive sales force skews the rankings, says a competitor. He doubted that Norfolk was worse than dozens of ...
