NORFOLK -- Although it's a ``family store,'' the Navy Exchange at the Norfolk Naval Station is no mom-and-pop operation.
At 189,000 square feet, the newly expanded and renovated, one-stop shopping complex is the world's largest Navy Exchange, which is fitting, as it serves the world's largest Navy base. It also boasts the only exchange bookstore on the East Coast and one of only two in the country, the other being in San Diego.
A grand opening and ribbon cutting will be held at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
