NORFOLK -- It didn't take long for Trevor Fraser to make an impression on an intimate gathering of 1,190 Hampton Roads Admirals fans Wednesday at Scope.
Ten minutes into the team's first exhibition game, Fraser barreled into Jeff Rucinski of the Chesapeake (Md.) IceBreakers, sending the 6-foot-1, 205-pound defenseman flying through the air.
It was only the first of many violent checks from Fraser, a 6-0, 205-pound left wing from Leduc, Alberta, who appears destined to become a favorite to both the crowd and coach John Brophy.
