VIRGINIA BEACH -- State police are investigating a counterfeiting ring that netted at least $20,000 in two months by forging and selling fake tickets to concerts, theme parks and sporting events, according to a search-warrant affidavit.
The counterfeiters used computers to duplicate valid tickets, and then sold the bogus copies at events from Connecticut to Florida, the affidavit said.
The suspects allegedly printed and sold tickets to an array of events, from auto races to football games. They are suspected of following the national concert schedule of rap singer Puff Daddy, selling fake tickets outside venues ...
