A subsidiary of a western airline and travel company announced Tuesday it will buy The Vacation Store, a three-year-old Virginia Beach-based travel and retail store.
Phoenix-based America West Holdings Corp.'s The Leisure Company plans to buy The Vacation Store for an undisclosed amount of cash, officials said.
Kevin Short, The Leisure Company's chief operating officer, said The Vacation Store's cruise packages will complement his company's land-based vacations and give it an East Coast presence.
