AGBAR thought he had clarified his position minutes earlier on this so-called volunteer blood donor program.
He thought he had summed it up with that string of deep, percolating growls.
Apparently not. Here they were, coming at him with a needle.
So, he showed them he is a dog that backs up his growl. He lunged at Dr. Patti Gahagan. Might have nipped her, too, except for that darned muzzle.
``Human doctors have it so easy,'' Gahagan said, ``they just don't know it.''
Minutes later, Agbar would become the 200th dog or cat to donate blood to Tidewater Veterinary Emergency Hospital's ...
