So just how unusually warm has it been? Forget Wednesday's high temperature of 73 degrees and consider this: The low of 60 was a dozen degrees warmer than the normal high for this time of year.
The low also was a whopping 29 degrees above normal for early January in Norfolk, 31.
And today? ``Windy, warm and humid'' - words seldom seen in a January forecast in Norfolk - with the high expected to peak in the mid- to upper 70s.
Historically, the average daily high in Norfolk doesn't reach 75 until June 15.
