SOUTHERN SHORES -- Project Blue Sky will cost this northern beach town an estimated $240,000 more than it had planned, according to an eight-page report released Tuesday.
Southern Shores originally committed $200,000 to the program, aimed at improving building techniques in storm-vulnerable coastal communities. However, because of management problems and unauthorized expenditures, the town must bear the brunt of an additional $240,373.
