Pernell ``Sweetpea'' Whitaker flew home from Caracas, Venezuela, on Monday confident that his April 25 fight with Ike Quartey was on.
For a while Tuesday, it was in danger of being off. Today it could be officially back on.
And so it goes as the fallout from the Virginia Beach boxer's allegedly positive test for cocaine continues to take unforeseen twists. Finally, closure on the 4-month-old matter between Whitaker and the Mashantucket Pequot Gaming and Athletic Commission could come as early as today.
