Sad over this void
If it isn't hard enough to get over the loss of MaryAnne Gleason, the Chesapeake mystery author who died last month, we now have to deal with the loss of another creative citizen and sweet person.
Wendy C. Haley, 44, the Western branch mom who made a living churning out romance novels, mysteries, vampire tales and young adult fiction, died March 1 of cancer. The single mother is survived by two children, Elizabeth and Christopher, and left behind scores of friends, neighbors and readers.
