With a new coach and veteran roster, the Isle of Wight boys basketball team joined the school's championship lineup.
The Chargers got off to a fast start, sputtered midway through the regular season and finished strong to win the Virginia Commonwealth Conference Tournament and advance to the Virginia Independent Schools Division II playoffs. The boys basketball team was the third IOW team to win a state or conference title this year. The other crowns came in girls volleyball and football.
