HISTORY WILL COME to life Saturday with the seventh annual Gathering of the Guilds at the Francis Land House in Virginia Beach.
Thirteen local guilds will assemble at the 18th-century site and gardens to demonstrate their skills, share information, display their work and re-create some of the history behind their crafts.
Guilds today exist as an association of people with similar interests who want to pursue, preserve and teach a particular craft.
