FOR years we were told vitamin C was good for us. The more the better they said. It didn't matter whether you got your vitamin C from a pill or an orange because whatever your body didn't use would be flushed out anyway. So there they are: bottles and bottles of 500-milligram doses of vitamin C on store shelves.
But according to recent wire reports, British research has shown that 500 milligrams of vitamin C a day could damage people's genetic structure.
