SOME 10,000 BIKERS roared into town last weekend, but most Beach residents weren't aware of it.
The bikers kept mostly to themselves at a secluded, sun-drenched campground for relaxation, entertainment and camaraderie.
And when they left Sunday, neither resort merchants nor Oceanfront police could say for certain that they made any measurable impact on the local economy or the peace and tranquillity of the community.
What they did do was leave behind $10,000 for the Leukemia Society of America, which was the main reason for their being here.
