DIDN'T GET enough of the King during the Viva Elvis IV weekend at the Beach? That's all right, momma, I've got good news for you.
For one thing, there's a new reason to go back to Graceland in Memphis. On Mother's Day, the proprietors of the mansion opened Elvis' momma's bedroom to visitors for the first time. The bedroom was Gladys Presley's from the time Elvis bought the house in 1957 until her death the following year. Vernon, his daddy, slept there, too.
The original dresser, chests, night tables, light fixtures and headboard are all in place, and the purple velvet draperies and bedspread have been re-created. For ...
