When is the best time to cut back nandinas? We have been told by friends that the month of February is best. Because February 1998 was much different than usual, we wondered if that was still the right time. Our nandinas have considerable height and are several years old, heavy with berries.
We have red-tip photinias that we usually cut back in the fall. Some along our fence line are more than 6 feet tall and make a hedge. We have not cut any off the top of these bushes. Shall we leave them until fall?
