NORFOLK -- For two hours Monday, state Del. William P. Robinson Jr. described in court how a masked gunman attacked him on a dark, misty night in December, how the two fought over a pistol and how the attacker bashed Robinson's head and face bloody.
The man charged with that attack, former judge Luther C. Edmonds, stood silently a few feet away, listening to Robinson's account, watching as Robinson acted out the bam-bam-bam of the pistol-whipping.
Edmonds said nothing during or after the preliminary hearing in General District Court. He also put on no witnesses.
