It lasted merely an hour and 15 minutes, but the message 85 warplanes from 13 NATO nations sent as they thundered near Yugoslavia on Monday morning should have been clear, the commander of the assault ship Wasp Amphibious Ready Group said.
``I have no doubt that they saw (on their radar screens) this great big, long train of high-performance aircraft that were brought together very, very quickly,'' Capt. Leon Mahoney said by satellite telephone shortly after four of his Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier jump jets returned to the Wasp's deck.
