Conoco Extends Rang Dong Field
Conoco announced last week that it has successfully tested a stepout well in a block off the Vietnamese coast at a rate of 8,500 b/d.
Conoco said Thursday that the well "significantly" extended the producing area of the Rang Dong field in Block 15-2, where production was recently increased to about 50,000 b/d. The well is the first one drilled to test the boundaries of the field since Conoco farmed into Block 15-2 in February.
