My Aunt Pat lives in the woods. A lot of animals live there, too. Deer and chipmunks and squirrels play in her backyard. There are blue jays, cardinals, and sparrows. Aunt Pat likes to feed the birds sunflower seeds and peanuts.
But Aunt Pat has a problem. The squirrels eat the sunflower seeds and the peanuts, even though the seeds and nuts are for the birds.
The squirrels sit in the bird feeder and eat and eat and eat. They scatter peanut shells everywhere. Sometimes they eat all the bird food--every bit.
Aunt Pat bangs on the window and yells, "Go away, you silly squirrels." But the squirrels keep eating and eating. The birds sit and watch. ...
