Although the reaction of the industry community will have to Hinds Community College's new industrial maintenance lab, located on the Rankin Campus, will not be known until it is put to work, the industry leaders at the grand opening on Dec. 1 told a different tale.
Russ Griffith, maintenance supervisor at Doublecote, a coil-coating facility located in the Byram Industrial Park, attended the grand opening in hopes of finding training upgrades for employees.
"We are just curious to see what Hinds is going to offer," he said. "I'm trying to bring our guys in the plant up to speed with the latest technology."
