BLUE IS THE COLOR that permeates my being when entering a hotel room on Mykonos Island after a long, tiresome trip.
My plans - flop on a bed and nap before unpacking - go awry. My weary body gets a jump-start seeing sheer curtains billowing outward through open doors that frame a vista of intense blue Aegean sea under a lighter blue sky.
I head for the balcony to soak up the panorama and see blue everywhere, not only in sea and sky but also blue paint accentuating shutters, doors and furniture. The snob in me dubs the color ``industrial blue,'' the shade we paint bicycles, not house trim.
