Every spring on the Outer Banks I'm captivated by the enthusiasm of man and Mother Nature.
Shrugging off the hard times of the winter, man and Mom once again plunge optimistically into the future.
For the past couple of weeks I've noticed the revival when I stroll through my yard, visit my neighbors and drive around the Outer Banks.
The ``Closed-til-Spring'' signs come down from restaurants and motels and shops at about the same pace as my flowers shoot out of the ground and start preening.
It's a wonderful time to be alive on the Outer Banks, with dining and doing and shopping opportunities exploding ...
