It's that time of year when pro and college football climaxes hit ABC and once again the Mickey Mouse network is far more upbeat about the latter.

The four BCS bowls - especially next Wednesday's Oklahoma-Florida State national-title Orange Bowl - form a solid reason.

But after another lowest-ever season of "Monday Night Football" ratings, it's hard for Mouseketeers to smile about the NFL.

Yet they'll try tomorrow with a Colts-Dolphins (12:30) and Rams-Saints (4) wild card doubleheader - Game 2 ending ABC's failed year with Dennis Miller.

"MNF" numbers have been in steady decline since 1994, when 17.8 percent of U.S. homes tuned in.
