EASTER MEANS BONNETS, baskets and bunnies - the real, furry kind and the chocolate kind. Unfortunately, the live bunnies often don't last much longer than the chocolate ones.
This troubles Diane Tyson. The Churchland woman is on a mission: She wants to educate people and help Peter Cottontail stay around for more than one Easter.
``About 96 percent of the bunnies bought as Easter presents die within a year,'' Tyson said. ``So many people get bunnies for their children and then just forget about them. It just breaks my heart.''
