Dec. 26--In an effort to help students learn about the business world, Memphis-based FedEx Corp. will launch its first FedEx Youth Leadership Institute at its World Tech Center in Collierville on Jan. 11.
The institute is a special pilot program geared toward 11th graders. The inaugural class features 25 students from city, county and private schools throughout the Mid South.
FedEx said it intends to expand the program to other FedEx locations throughout the United States in 2002 and internationally in 2003.
