Dec. 27--TELL CITY, Ind.--A Japanese company that recently located in Perry County has made its first hire and plans to begin production in June.
Aisin Takaoka Co. Ltd., an automotive parts manufacturer based in Toyota City, Japan, took over an existing building vacated by Perfect Fit Industries Inc. on Dec. 1.
The 94,000-square-foot facility is located 2 1/2 miles north of Tell City off State Road 37 in the Perry County Industrial Park.
Aisin Takaoka's first hire knows the building well.
Fay Cutter, 41, who served as Perfect Fit's human resources manager, began work Dec. 1 and is the company's only employee.
