The claim: It helps fight urinary-tract infections and aids with trouble urinating stemming from prostate troubles. Also, in general it helps ease kidney and bladder troubles, including some bed-wetting in children.
Key ingredient: Corn-silk (zea mays) with uva ursi, cayenne, juniper and other herbs.
Price: $8.49 for 100 capsules. People are advised to take one to four a day.
Other sources: Many other companies market their own mixtures of corn silk with other herbs, available in health food stores. Some brands come in liquid extract form rather than as a tablet or capsule.
