WHILE most of Britain enjoyed their Christmas and New Year in the warmth of their homes, the nation's homeless were battling to survive on the streets.
According to the charity Crisis, which provides Christmas accommodation for the homeless, the Government has failed to provide enough for those sleeping rough.
The Government, on the other hand, has accused the charity of scaremongering and says it failed to inform their Rough Sleepers Unit of the numbers in need over the Christmas period.
