Sensor Products has introduced Super Pressurex, a tactile force-indicating sensor film claimed to be 50% more accurate than its Pressurex sensor film.
The sensor is said to be useful in assessing compression magnitude and distribution between any two mating or impacting surfaces with much greater resolution than standard indicating films.
The film has applications for both manufacturing process control and machine/component inspection and calibration.
The Super Pressurex sensor comprises a large, thin film. When placed between impacting or mating surfaces, the sensor film instantaneously and permanently changes colour, says Sensor Products.
