Michelle Smith was incensed when she read a recent story in The Post about Happy Holidays Barbie. The author pointed out that the white Mattel holiday dolls were scarce but the black holiday dolls were plentiful on the shelves.
In the article, psychologist Gwendolyn Goldsby Grant, advice columnist for Essence magazine, was quoted as saying, ''Our children are inundated with white dolls, so why would they want to be black? Why would they want a black doll?''
