ONION - Exports of Onion powder through Oct.1 were up 8%, while exports of Dried Onion were down 10%. Exports of Onion powder to Indonesia had a c.i.f. value of $2.58 million or 81 cents per pound, while shipments to the United Kingdom, normally the largest export market, had a c.i.f. value of $1.05 per pound.
Shipments of Dried Onion to Canada had a c.i.f. value of 99 cents per pound, while shipments to Japan had c.i.f. value of $1.27 per pound, down 3% from a year ago.
GARLIC - Exports of Powder totaled 3.6 million pounds through Oct. 1, 23% lower than last year, although shipments for the month of September were up 24% to 461,730 pounds. Shipments to ...
