HERSHEY FOODS CORP. ANNOUNCES SECOND QUARTER RESULTS
HERSHEY, Pa., July 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Hershey Foods Corp. (NYSE: HSY) today announced record consolidated net sales and earnings for the second quarter ended July 3, 1988.
Net sales were $553,636,000 compared with $497,745,000 for the second quarter of 1987. Net income was $28,649,000, or $.32 per share, compared with $27,021,000, or $.30 per share, for the same quarter last year.
Net sales for the first six months of 1988 were $1,171,095,000 compared with $1,087,994,000 in the first half of 1987. Net income for the first six months of 1988 was $65,558,000, or $.73 per share, ...
