Alan Michaelis isn't scared of failure. In fact, the videographer by trade and inventor by choice, knows that failure is often necessary when fine-tuning a good idea.
Michaelis houses his ``failures'' like boxed trophies on a shelf in his Bayside garage.
The boxes contain a mangled mess of wire, tubes, pipes, handles, string, clamps, pieces of wood. You name it, and it's in there.
The gizmos and gadgets in the boxes are proof of how many times an idea for a rolling beach chair failed before becoming a reality.
