PROJECT OVERVIEW:
An international consortium is currently considering the construction of a new steel manufacturing complex in Colombia. The partners in the planned undertaking include the local ACESCO, the project leader, Brazil-based CIA VALE DO RIO DOCE (CVRD) and the ANDEAN DEVELOPMENT CORP. According to Oscar Ivan Zuluaga, ACESCO President, the proposed manufacturing base would be sited somewhere in the northern part of the country.
