A plan has been drawn up in the Netherlands to provide rail and bus passengers with real-time travel information.
THE Dutch Ministry of Transport; NS Railinfrabeheer, the rail infrastructure authority; NS Verkeersleiding, responsible for traffic control; rail operators, NS Reizigers, Syntus, and NoordNed; NS Stations; and two other organisations, OVR and Transvision, have agreed to implement a plan called Train Plus to improve passenger information by 2005.
