Among all the new bells and whistles that typify a continually advancing extrusion technology, an old-time idea is rapidly growing in application. It comes down to the question: Why make pellets, if that step can be avoided in favor of better productivity and economics? Coming more to center stage is direct, or in-line, extrusion--making "non-stop parts from the hopper to the die."
