HANOI, Jan 4 Asia Pulse - Ho Chi Minh City tourism attained all-round and significant achievements in 2000 despite set-backs such as the recent floods and poorly-developed infrastructure.

According to the year-end report just released by Ho Chi Minh City Tourism authority, Ho Chi Minh City received 1.1 million foreign visitors, including 307,340 overseas Vietnamese. This was a year-on-year increase of 12.8 per cent. This translated to a combined turnover of VND 3,800 billion (US$260 million).
